Phillip Palmore, originally from Hilo, Hawai'i, joined the San Francisco Opera Orchestra on 4th horn in 2025. He also holds a position with the San Francisco Ballet orchestra which he joined two years prior. Other professional ensembles he has performed with include the San Francisco Symphony, Colorado Symphony, Phoenix Symphony, Sarasota Orchestra, and Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra. Furthermore, he has attended various music festivals such as Music Academy, the Aspen Music Festival, and the Sarasota Music Festival. Phillip holds degrees from the University of Cincinnati (BM) and The Juilliard School (MM) and is thankful to his primary instructors, Elizabeth Freimuth, Randy Gardner, Denise Tryon, Julie Landsman, and Michael Thornton for all their help and guidance.
